- 4 mm thin patch cable
- Optimal for use in racks and for VoIP applications
- 4-pair twisted
- AWG36
- Length marking on both ends

Cat6 cables are designed for operating frequencies up to 250 MHz. They are used for signal transmission with high data transfer rates (1 Gbps). Due to the high signal frequencies, careful installation and assembly is required, especially at the connection points of the conductors. The individual pairs in Cat6 cables are twisted at different tightness, which further reduces susceptibility to interference compared to Cat5e. Application areas for Cat-6 cables include voice and data transmission as well as multimedia and ATM networks. Even more powerful are cables according to Cat6e (500 MHz) and Cat6a (625 MHz).

A significant advantage of slim patch cables is their use in wiring racks and 48-port switches. The extremely thin design and great flexibility help avoid cable clutter, keeping everything organized.

A Wirewin Cat6 slim patch cable features a flexible and wide connector protection as well as length markings on both ends. This allows you to finally regain some order in your distribution cabinets. They are the optimal solution for connecting IP phones to your network. With their short connector and flexibility, these cables are ideally suited for this application. Despite their extremely thin design, Power over Ethernet supply for IP phones is also possible through these cables. Additionally, the cables are no longer flat as usual - they now have a round shape.

AWG36
The AWG (American Wire Gauge) system is based on the manufacturing process of wires and indicates the conductor thickness of copper wire. AWG36 corresponds to a conductor cross-section of 0.0127 mm².

Patch cable type

The cable type, describes the structure of a network cable. Fiber optic cables are suitable for distribution over longer distances (up to 80 km) and are resistant to interference. Copper cables can be used for distances up to 100 m and are cheaper to purchase.

Contact assignment

The contact assignment provides information on how the network cable can be used. An uncrossed cable can be used to connect terminals to the network, while a crossed cable can be used to connect two terminals.
