Although visually quite similar to a flat ribbon cable, the Slim patch cables achieve the specifications of Category 6 and are therefore suitable for 10BASE-T, 100BASE-TX, and 1000BASE-T/TX applications, including Gigabit Ethernet. Remarkably, three Slim patch cables have the same diameter as a single standard Cat5e patch cable. Despite their extremely thin design, the cable features twisted pairs. Additionally, it has a wide, flexible strain relief and a practical length marking at both ends, and it supports Power over Ethernet (PoE).
