S/FTP patch cable of category 6 with halogen-free, flame-retardant jacket. Conductors made of 100% copper and gold-plated connectors with strain relief. Wirewin S/FTP patch cables are characterized by high quality and are suitable for gigabit connections with operating frequencies of up to 250 MHz. Applications for category 6 cables include voice, multimedia, and data transmission as well as ATM networks. The conductors are double-shielded, and the cable features strain relief. The halogen-free jacket minimizes smoke generation and eliminates the dangerous release of halogenated combustion gases. Halogen-free cables are flame-resistant and do not exhibit a dangerous ignition cord effect. Screened Foiled Twisted Pair (S/FTP) refers to cables with a metallic shield around each pair of conductors and an additional overall metallic shield. Shielded cables have minimal impedance or reactance deviations compared to unshielded ones. The transmission parameters remain relatively constant even at high frequencies and are better than those of UTP cables. Cat 6 cables are designed for operating frequencies up to 250 MHz and are commonly used in professional environments. At longer lengths, transmission speed may suffer; however, slight excess lengths are generally acceptable depending on external influences.
