The E2000 connector is suitable for singlemode and multimode fibers and is characterized by its high data throughput. A distinctive feature of the E2000 connector is a small flap that protects the user from escaping laser beams and the fiber end from dirt and damage. APC - Angled Physical Contact. For connectors with the APC designation, the end face is not only convex but also tilted a few degrees relative to the fiber axis. This design allows reflected light from the core to be refracted into the air through the cladding, thereby preventing interference with data transmission.
