The TCRT5000-based line tracking sensor is a type of infrared reflection sensor commonly used in robots. It is mounted on the underside of the robot chassis. The line tracking sensor operates by detecting reflected light from its own infrared LED. By measuring the amount of reflected infrared light, it can detect transitions from light to dark (lines) or even objects directly in front of it.
