Westcott Parabolic umbrella diffuser cover

With the help of this cover, the light distribution area of a 134 cm parabolic umbrella can be expanded. Additionally, it provides a lighting effect that is significantly softer than when using flash without the cover. The light color and temperature remain unchanged. When the cover is used with one of the parabolic reflectors, it creates a light characteristic similar to that of an octagon softbox. Again, the light is softer than when using flash without the cover.

The diffuser cover is suitable for use with a hot-shoe or studio flash. When using the cover with a reflector umbrella, the respective flash can be pushed through an opening in the center of the cover, along with the shaft of the umbrella. This way, the light is reflected from the inside of the umbrella before it exits through the cover. The opening can be closed with a drawstring. Thanks to the elastic hem, the cover stays securely on the respective parabolic umbrella.
