Weizenkorn is a social enterprise where primarily young women and men with support needs work. Through meaningful activities, they experience acceptance and appreciation. Over 300 people are employed in supported workplaces or are undergoing training. In the areas of woodworking, candle-making, sales, accounting, gastronomy, and hospitality, employees are supported by the internal social service and 80 team members. The goal of the support work is to strengthen existing competencies and improve employability in the open labor market. Weizenkorn has been in existence since 1979 and is recognized by the federal and cantonal authorities as a protected workshop and as a provider of vocational assessments.
