Weizenkorn is a social enterprise in which mainly young women and men with support needs work. They experience acceptance and appreciation through meaningful work. Over 300 people are employed in a supported workplace or are completing an apprenticeship. In the wood workshop, candle studio, sales, accounting, catering and hotel business, employees are supported by the internal social services department and 80 team members. The aim of the support work is to strengthen their skills and improve their employability in the labour market. Weizenkorn has been in existence since 1979 and is recognised by the federal and cantonal governments as a sheltered workshop and supplier of vocational clarifications.
