With the Ultrastar DC HA200 series, Western Digital offers cost-effective enterprise-class hard drives with lower storage capacities, making them suitable as an entry-level solution for booting servers or for applications with smaller data sets. The Ultrastar DC HA200 series drives are designed for up to 550 TB per year and are available with up to 2 TB of effective storage capacity. The RVS technology (Rotational Vibration Safeguard) in these drives compensates for linear and rotational vibrations in real-time. This is particularly important in arrays with multiple drives and in rack systems to maintain high read/write performance. The Ultrastar DC HA200 series features a SATA interface with 6 Gbit/s and a native sector size of 512 bytes (512n) for compatibility with legacy applications in data centers.
