    Die WD Blue 500 GB (WD5000LPVT) erweist sich im Test als besonders stromsparende 2,5-Zoll-Festplatte. Die Leistungsaufnahme liegt bei nur 1,8 Watt im Betrieb, zudem ist die WD schön leise. Damit eignet sie sich sehr gut für den Einsatz im Laptop. Beim Datentransfer stellt die 500-GByte-Platte zwar keine Rekorde auf, rund 87 MByte/s sind aber immer noch praxistauglich.
