The reflector cover with a wavy gold coating is very suitable as a main or effect light in portrait photography. It provides a warmer light characteristic. In contrast, the silver cover reflects incoming light directly, very harshly and coolly. For this reason, it is primarily used in product photography as both a main and effect light. Photographers also appreciate it as an effect light for highlighting. A soft and color-neutral fill can be achieved very well with the white-coated reflector. The light characteristic is very homogeneous and even. To darken specific areas, such as in portrait photography, the black cover is ideal. It is particularly used for targeted light control in portrait photography. Most photographers know the diffuser covering of the actual reflector from on-location portrait photography, as it softens sunlight and thus provides a very soft, almost indirect lighting. It can also be backlit as a background, creating a bright glow behind the subject. This allows for professional high-key shots. Due to their shape, round reflectors are optimally suited for both portrait and product photography. Whether as a fill or effect light, these reflectors are always the first choice. Typically, such reflectors are held by an assistant, but they can also be attached with universal clamps or hung from a loop. The foldable reflector is of excellent quality.
