Product details
Since the output signal of a turntable is significantly smaller than that of a CD player, it is essential to ensure a low-noise and as lossless transmission as possible.
The basis for this in the PHO-700 is a sophisticated external power supply, similar to that used in the PHO-8. We consciously opted against a plug-in power supply and developed a specially tuned power supply instead. This is connected to the phono stage via a 5-pin DIN cable. The voltage is specially processed in the power supply, ensuring that ripple and hum interference from the power grid are irrelevant, providing the phono stage with "clean power."
The PHO-700 has the same dimensions as the power supply but is equipped with the familiar viewing window that offers a glimpse of the tube, in line with the Tube Line design.
A 12AU7 tube is used in the signal path as a double triode, which directly influences the sound. High-quality components (e.g., Nichicon or Wima) further enhance the parameters of signal-to-noise ratio and gain. Of course, the PHO-700 can be switched between MM and MC cartridges using a switch on the back.
