Product details

The CD-S1 was Vincent's first CD player in the year 2000. Subsequently, Vincent upgraded this successful model with a 24-bit converter featuring an HDCD decoder, as well as tubes in the signal path – thus the CD-S1.1 was born. A few years later, Vincent aimed to bring their "first" CD player up to date and presents the CD-S1.2. The most noticeable changes are likely the digital inputs on the back of the player. Here, digital signals can be fed into the player via optical, coaxial, or USB inputs. These signals are then processed by the excellent analog section of the CD-S1.2.

Better Dynamics and Precision

A Sanyo drive is now responsible for the clean reading of your CDs. The Sanyo chip DA11 is in charge of data extraction. The digital processing is handled by the PCM1796 converters from Burr-Brown. This allows for 24-bit/196kHz playback. Improved dynamics and more precise reproduction are the results. The analog signal is then processed in a fully balanced manner. Two 6N16 tubes work in the signal path, adding a certain tube charm to the sound. The analog signal can be output via XLR or RCA.
