The measurement sensor of the Veroval 2-in-1 DuoScan detects the infrared radiation emitted by the eardrum or forehead. The measurement result is displayed within one second during ear measurement.

Ear measurement: The measurement can be taken in either the right or left ear. The thermometer measures the infrared radiation emitted by the eardrum and ear canal. This radiation is captured by the sensor and converted into temperature values. The best results are achieved by measuring the infrared radiation in the middle ear (eardrum). Radiation emitted by surrounding tissue leads to lower measurement values.

Forehead measurement: The thermometer measures the infrared radiation emitted by the skin in the forehead and temple area, as well as the surrounding tissue. The radiation is captured by the sensor and converted into temperature values. The most accurate values are obtained by scanning the entire area from one temple to the other.
