The patch cable is double-shielded with additional shielding of the twisted pairs. Thus, it is gigabit-capable, suitable for your fast DSL connection. The patch cable is, of course, backward compatible with older devices and installations of categories Cat.5 and Cat.5e. The RJ45 connector features a latch protection (RNS®) that prevents the latch on the top of the connector from bending. The twisted pairs consist of 99.99% oxygen-free copper (OFC), which enhances the signal transmission of the cable.
