Universal Audio Solo/610

The Solo/610 delivers the classic sound of the Putnam 610 tube console in the form of a portable and versatile microphone preamplifier. It provides the silky, classically warm sound of the microphone circuitry from the original console, enhancing and refining any microphone or instrument signal with its legendary tone.

Thanks to its compact dimensions, the Solo/610 can be conveniently used in the control room or recording space, on stage, or at any standard workstation. Despite its reduced functionality, the Solo/610 offers the unique, proven sound character of the 610 console—at a price that makes it appealing for any ambitious project studio.

The Solo/610 features microphone and DI inputs, as well as gain and level controls that cover the entire sound spectrum from clean to noticeably colored. Unlike its predecessor, the Solo/610 has a variable gain control with an extended range, allowing for precise level adjustment.

The Solo/610 includes all the features of a professional microphone preamplifier, including 48V phantom power, a low-cut filter, and a phase reverse switch, as well as two impedance settings for the microphone and DI inputs. Additionally, important DI functions such as a thru connection for routing the signal to an amplifier, a ground lift, and a flexible circuit for outputting the signal via the microphone and line outputs have been integrated into the Solo/610.
