First, connect the Ethernet cable to a yellow LAN port on your modem. Connect the other end of the Ethernet cable to an Ethernet port on your computer or laptop. Finally, ensure that the Ethernet light next to the port you are using on the modem is lit green and blinking.

The Cat 6 Ethernet network cable supports a bandwidth of up to 250 MHz and an Ethernet performance of up to 1000 Mbit/s. This is much better than a Wi-Fi connection, as the cable is plugged directly into the source rather than establishing a wireless connection from a distance.
