Ugears V8 Motor

V8 engines with their typical growl are synonymous with automotive power. Thanks to the balanced arrangement of two banks of four cylinders in a V-shape, V8 engines produce less vibration than six-cylinder engines, resulting in a larger and more powerful engine. Engine and modelling enthusiasts have been asking Ugers for a complex engine model for years, and here it is: the Ugears V8 engine. The V8 engine is a 1/6th scale model that can be powered by either an electric motor or by pushing a button, allowing you to observe the mesmerising workings of this iconic internal combustion engine.

The model fully replicates the main mechanisms of a real V8, including eight cylinders with cyclically moving pistons, two cylinders 'firing' every 90 degrees of crankshaft rotation, 16 spring-loaded valves opening and closing as the crankshaft rotates, and 16 spring-loaded valves opening and closing as the crankshaft rotates.spring-loaded valves open and close when pushed by the heads of the rotating camshafts, the crankcase and timing components connected by a timing chain and a throttle valve on the intake manifold.

This model is driven by an electric motor that resembles a generator. A serpentine belt connects the crankshaft pulley to various pulleys representing engine accessories such as the air conditioning compressor, alternator, power steering pump and water pump. Connect the model to a power source via a USB-C cable, then turn the on/off switch to "on" to see your engine come to life, or manually set the V8 engine in motion by turning the knob under the on/off switch.
