Ubisoft Watch Dogs (Essentials)

The main gameplay mechanic of Watch Dogs is the use of hacking and surveillance. The protagonist of the game, Aiden Pearce, can use any device connected to the city's central operating system (ctOS) as a weapon. During the gameplay demonstration, Aiden is seen disrupting mobile phones to serve as a distraction when he enters a cosmetics exhibition, eavesdropping on a phone call to gather information about his target, and manipulating traffic lights to cause a large multi-car pileup intended to trap the target and his pursuers. The player can also access information from the ctOS about the NPCs they encounter, including data on demographics, health, and their likelihood of violence. The combat utilizes a combination of stealth components and the mechanics of a cover-based third-person shooter. The E3 demo also showcased cooperative gameplay as the focus shifted to a second character named "Bixxel_44" (controlled by another player) after Aiden successfully killed his target, who had been ordered to protect Aiden by intercepting the police trying to capture him.
