Empfehlenswert in Kombination mit Unifi und Gigabit Internet

Als professioneller IT Dienstleister war ich dem Produkt zuerst skeptisch gegenüber: was liefert diese Box für diesen kleinen Betrag?
Kurz: es ist die perfekte Ergänzung, wenn man sowieso schon Unifi Komponenten und CloudKey verwendet (und besonders das Unifi WLAN ist absolute Spitzenklasse). Über ein zentrales Interface lässt sich damit alles managen. So wird die Einrichtung z.B. von VLANs extrem einfach: die Provisionierung nimmt automatisch auf dem Router und allenfalls Switch sowie Access Points von Ubiquity alles notwendige vor. Detailkonfigurationen wie z.B. Portforwardings nimmt man in der spezifischen Router-Konfiguration vor.
In Kombination mit einem Gigabit Anschluss (z.B. Fiber7) enttäuscht es auch nicht und liefert Gigabit Routing/NAT Durchsatz.
Mag sein, dass es das eine oder andere noch nicht perfekt übers GUI kann, viel lässt sich aber auch noch über die Kommandozeile erledigen. Und zum Kommentar von Dintenrolf: IPSec Site-to-Site würde ich eh immer nur mit statischen IPs machen. Aber wie wäre es mit OpenVPN? … more

Für den Preis und Lieferumfang ein sehr gutes Gerät.

Wie von Ubiquiti UniFi gewohntes zentrales Management. Der USG integriert sich perfekt in die UniFi Umgebung.
Die Firewall Einstellungen sind noch in der Beta Phase. Wenn Ubiquiti den Funktionsumfang erweitert hat wir das ein sehr gutes Gerät.

Kaufen für ein kleines Netzwerk.

Ist eigentlich schon vieles gesagt worden von den vorherigen Käufern. Das Teil ist ohne Zweifel sein Geld wert. Ich möchte nur auf eines hinweisen und zwar die Integration in ein bestehendes Netzwerk ohne die Adresse 192.168.1.X/24. Ich habe nach 2 x SSH Umkonfigurieren und zig Forum Posts aufgegeben. Mein Netzwerk läuft jetzt auch auf 192.168.1.X/24 wie default vom Hersteller gegeben wird. Ich konnte mittels Controller die USG nicht dazu bewegen, in einem 10.x.x.x/24 Netz adoptiert zu werden. Ich bin nicht der einzige der über diesen Schritt motzt wenn man dir ubnt Foren durchliest. Einziger Kritikpunkt! Und ja, wenn man VPN benötigt könnte man theoretisch eine Firewall vorschieben und die USG im Bridgemodus laufen lassen. Aber dazu gibts noch mehr Posts ;-) Die Statistiken sind nett anzusehen, einen Controller kann man sich mind. 1 Jahr über Amazon AWS holen, oder ein kleiner Raspberry Pi tuts auch. … more
