The SHD (Secure High Density) model was specifically designed for highly sensitive data connections. A dedicated security radio constantly scans the frequency spectrum. In doing so, the network is checked for potentially harmful activities as well as optimal network performance. Thus, the access point simultaneously serves as a Wireless Intrusion Prevention/Detection System (WIPS/WIDS) on all channels.

Using the UniFi Controller software, you manage all access points in your network and obtain detailed information on system traffic. The UniFi Controller is also equipped with hotspot functionality, providing your customers with extensive options: integration for credit card payments, voucher-based authentication, a hotspot manager for creating vouchers, and much more. Additionally, the software dashboard gives you an overview of all important and current information about your network at any time.

The original 802.11ac Wave 1 SU-MIMO (Single-User, Multiple Input, Multiple Output) technology allowed previous generation access points to communicate with only one client at a time. The new 802.11ac Wave 2 MU-MIMO technology (Multi-User, Multiple Input, Multiple Output) now makes it possible to communicate with multiple clients simultaneously, which has a very positive impact on the user experience.
