Ubiquiti AI Theta

AI-Theta is a new camera series from Ubiquiti. In the AI-Theta system, the camera lens is separated from the other hardware to allow for more flexible and discreet placement. A box containing the associated hardware is installed separately and powered via PoE. The hardware connects to a USB-C camera, which can therefore be located several meters away. The camera lens does not have a built-in microphone or speaker; however, a second port is available for an optional two-way audio module. The package includes an 8MP lens with a 97.5° field of view and a 12MP fisheye lens with a 360° field of view.

The new camera system can be managed with UniFi Protect, just like all previous Ubiquiti cameras. Additionally, optional movable mounts are available for more flexibility in positioning the lenses. Besides the smart detections offered by other UniFi Protect cameras, such as person and vehicle recognition, the AI-Theta series provides additional features. AI stands for "Artificial Intelligence," which means that the camera can not only recognize individuals but also remember whether and how often a person has been seen before. Functions such as a presence counter are also available.
