Tru Components CCA network cable

CCA refers to bi-metallic single and multi-core cables with a copper-coated aluminum core for applications with higher frequencies. The so-called skin effect or current displacement is a physical phenomenon caused by high-frequency alternating currents. The current density inside the conductor becomes lower than that on the outer surface as the frequency increases. The inner cross-section of a conductor through which a high-frequency alternating current flows has virtually no transmission function. Thus, CCA network cables represent a cost-effective and weight-reduced alternative to conventional solid copper cables while providing equivalent performance and transmission characteristics.
