Trek Ion 100 R bicycle headlight
Product details
A compact, USB-rechargeable headlight that easily attaches to any handlebar.
Thanks to its focused optics with a wide yet bright beam, you will definitely not be overlooked. The integrated light sensor automatically adjusts the brightness in flashing mode. With 100 lumens powered by a high-performance CREE LED, it is ideal for mounting on the handlebar or directly on the bike.
The battery life is 1.5 hours at 100 lumens, 3 hours at 50 lumens, 16 hours at 5 lumens, 7 hours in night flashing mode, and 8 hours in day flashing mode. It comes with a quick connect mount and a micro-USB charging cable. A Blendr-compatible, secure handlebar mount is available separately.
Research shows that using a flashing, daylight-visible rear light is the most effective measure to increase the likelihood of being seen by drivers.
Studies have found that riding with a flashing daytime running light is the best way to enhance the visibility of cyclists.
With a flashing rear light, your visibility during the day is up to 240% higher than that of cyclists without a rear light.
Not all lights are created equal. A true daytime running light has a concentrated focus, a striking flashing pattern, and a long range, allowing it to be seen from a considerable distance during the day. Without these three characteristics, it is just an ordinary light.
When the battery level drops below 5%, the brightness is also reduced to significantly extend the remaining battery life.
