TP-Link MC420L

The MC420L is a media converter for converting between 10GBASE-SR/LR fibre optic, 10GBASE-LRM fibre optic and 10GBASE-T copper media. It extends the reach of an existing Gigabit network over fibre when integrated with the SFP module. The MC420L applies the IEEE 802.3ae 10GBASE-SR/LR 10G Ethernet and IEEE 802.3an 10GBASE-T 10G Ethernet standards as part of its intended use with the multi-mode/single-mode SFP module. The Gigabit fibre optic converters can easily establish point-to-point connections over long distances, making them ideal for multi-building network connections, remote monitoring and automated factory installations.The MC420L can be flexibly installed on stand-alone desktops or built into a housing (TP-Link MC1400). The clear status LEDs on the front panel provide real-time status information to monitor current network activity. The maximum transmission distance of optical fibres depends on the configuration of the SFP module.
