With the industry-leading 9 hard disk drive design first introduced by Toshiba, the MG08 series offers 16TB of CMR (Conventional Magnetic Recording) capacity and 7,200 rpm speed. The industry-standard 3.5-inch form factor easily integrates with cloud-sized storage infrastructure, business-critical servers and storage, and file and object storage solutions. Toshiba's precision laser welding technology is used to safely seal the helium in the 9-plate mechanism. The enormous storage capacity of 16 TB is provided with proven CMR recording technology for optimal application compatibility and data reliability. The MG08 series models, equipped with a 6 Gbps SATA or 12 Gbps SAS interface, fit conveniently into a standard 3.5-inch drive bay, reducing the footprint and operational drawbacks of a cloud-sized storage infrastructure and mission-critical servers and storage systems.
