The MG06ACA model generation offers an industry-standard form factor of 3.5 inches and a height of 26.1 mm, along with Advanced Format sector technologies for optimal capacity and data reliability. The models support Toshiba's Persistent Write Cache technology, which enhances performance while ensuring the continuity of write operations during sudden power outages. The Enterprise Capacity models of the MG06ACA series, equipped with a 6 Gbit/s SATA interface, require less space in the rack and reduce the footprint and operational disadvantages of business-critical servers and storage systems.
The MG06ACA series improves sustained transfer rate performance to 237 MiB/s and increases MTTF by 25% compared to the MG05ACA predecessor series. Models with either 512e or 4Kn Advanced Format sector technology are available. The 4Kn sector models (MG06ACAxxxA) provide adequate performance and compatibility with 4K-capable applications and operating environments. The 512e sector models (MG06ACAxxxE) support legacy applications and operating environments that require 512B sector lengths.
