The JerkStopper is a simple but ingenious solution to relieve cables from any additional forces.

The JerkStopper USB Mount is designed to secure USB cables, HDMI cables, and other cables connected to a stationary computer or notebook. It is suitable for cables with a diameter between 3.5 and 8 mm.

To secure a cable, attach the JerkStopper to the cable in question. Then insert the JerkStopper into a USB port located near the connector to which the cable is connected. The section of cable between the JerkStopper and the port into which the cable is plugged must be in a loose bend. This prevents any tensile force from acting directly on the connection socket with the cable.

The JerkStopper has a plug connection that allows it to be taken apart for attachment to a cable. This plug-in connection also serves as a predetermined release point. If too much tension is applied to the JerkStopper, it will come apart at this point without being damaged. It can be reassembled later.
