Ares Expedition: Fundamentals includes additional player boards, dice, and phase cards, allowing Ares Expedition to be played with up to six players. This expansion also features two additional game boards. One is a larger scoring track. The other adds a fourth terraforming metric: Infrastructure.

Additionally, there are new project cards related to the new terraforming metric, as well as a new phase card.
