This device is suitable as a connection unit or termination unit for a fiber optic network. The patch box serves as a handover and testing point for the fiber optic network in communication infrastructures. It contains Cca fibers and is therefore recommended for installation in individual buildings (airports, hospitals, shopping centers, schools, universities) that require a high level of safety due to the large number of people. The Euroclass Cca ensures an adequate level of safety regarding fire behavior and the emission of toxic fumes, thereby reducing the risks of fire.

The patch box includes fiber optic cables, one end of which is pre-terminated with 4 SC/APC connectors at the patch box. This provides the installer with greater convenience and flexibility during installation, as the fiber can be routed through various cable channels to the desired point. The installer only needs to perform the splice or connection of 4 fiber optic connectors at the termination point. Additionally, the fibers are supplied in a patch box with a spool, significantly facilitating cable laying and reducing installation time as well as the risk of damaging the fibers.

The design also allows for installation in other types of spaces (auto repair shops, classrooms, workstations, cabinets, etc.) as well as use as a connection point.
