The MPO/MTP connector, specified and standardized in the IEC 61754-7 and TIA/EIA 604-5 standards, is the preferred choice alongside the optical LC interface for information transport systems in tomorrow's commercial buildings and data centers, which require ever-increasing bandwidths and higher speeds. The patch cables typically feature polarity A, with B or C available upon request. Telegärtner employs a high-quality MTP connector, which contains multiple fibers in a single high-precision ferrule that can be PC or APC polished, achieving a typical insertion loss of 0.25 dB and a return loss of over 60 dB for singlemode, as well as a typical insertion loss of 0.2 dB and a return loss of over 30 dB for multimode.
