The pre-terminated MPO/MTP cabling system is a future-proof and cost-effective solution for fiber optic networks ranging from 10 Mbit/s to 400 Gbit/s through parallel optical transmission. The MPO/MTP connector, specified and standardized in the IEC 61754-7 and TIA/EIA 604-5 standards, is the preferred choice alongside the optical LC interface for information transport systems in tomorrow's commercial buildings and data centers, which require ever-increasing bandwidths and higher speeds. The patch cables are standardly configured with polarity A, with B or C available upon request.

Telegärtner uses the high-quality MTP connector, which contains multiple fibers in a single high-precision ferrule that can be PC or APC polished to achieve a typical insertion loss of 0.25 dB and a return loss of >60 dB for singlemode, as well as a typical insertion loss of 0.2 dB and a return loss of >30 dB for multimode. For optimal quality assurance, the patch cables are 100 percent factory tested.
