Product details

The TN-3B is a stylish, slim turntable with a belt drive, built-in MM-type phono EQ amplifier, and USB digital output. It features a new tonearm with a pivot function, developed in collaboration with the high-end tonearm manufacturer SAEC, ensuring maximum stability and resolution. The belt drive helps reduce unwanted cogging effects, such as fine pulsations caused by motor operation, to ensure precise and smooth record rotation. The TN-3B also utilizes a high-precision NJM808080 operational amplifier in its built-in phono EQ amplifier, allowing users to enjoy the sound of their vinyl records with low distortion and high quality. Additionally, an integrated analog-to-digital converter and USB port enable users to digitize their vinyl libraries. The TN-3B offers a natural and balanced sound quality and is quick and easy to set up. TEAC believes it sets a new standard that meets the needs of both audiophiles and passionate record collectors.

Built to a high standard. One of the best finished turntables. Somewhat dull sound with little treble and less dynamic than most. Easy to handle. Manual operation, direct drive. Has a USB port for digitising records.

  • Positiveexcellent facilities
  • NegativeSupplied Sumiko pickup showed weaknesses

Teac succeeded in creating an astonishingly robust combination of turntable and tonearm. The direct drive was convincing all along the line, the SAEC tonearm played above its price class. Unfortunately, the sound of the Sumiko system did not inspire me. With an Ortofon 2M Red, the sun truly rose in the test! You should invest the additional 110 euros in any case.
