The NT-503DAB uses the same DAC as the UD-503, TEAC's most powerful DAC. To accurately and independently reproduce high-resolution audio files on the right and left channels, the NT-503DAB features a dual-mono design with two toroidal power transformers, dual DAC chipsets, and symmetrically arranged output stages. A TEAC-HCLD circuit, consisting of four separate current-optimized buffer amplifiers that act on the positive and negative phases of the right and left channels, enhances the dynamic performance and maximizes sound fidelity in the analog line amplifier.

Additionally, the NT-503DAB performs upsampling for all incoming digital audio signals based on a flow algorithm that processes more natural interpolation points than conventional upsampling methods. All incoming digital audio signals can be converted to 12.2 MHz or 384 kHz PCM (the maximum value depends on the original digital audio data). Missing data above a frequency of 20 kHz is reproduced using an analog-like interpolation algorithm that ensures optimal sound fidelity.
