Practical preamplifier with symmetrical XLR connection option. A stylish small preamplifier from Tangent's popular line of electronic miniature products. The Tangent PreAmp II is perfect for providing multiple sources to an amplifier or power amplifier, or for adding Bluetooth to your active speakers. The preamplifier features Bluetooth, a digital optical input, phono input, and an analog AUX input.

The PreAmp II has a RIAA/phono input, allowing it to be used with a turntable. It is possible to connect an amplifier via RCA, but as a novelty, the PreAmp II also has symmetrical outputs that can be beneficial for amplifiers with XLR connections, such as the Tangent PowerAmpster II.

On the front of the Tangent PreAmp II, there is an option to connect headphones, allowing the PreAmp II to be used as a headphone amplifier for HiFi headphones that require little more than the output of a smartphone. On the output side, there are analog line out and sub out, so you can connect both amplifiers or active speakers as well as a subwoofer.

The Tangent PreAmp II can be awakened from standby by any source, making it a perfect partner for, for example, a television or a multi-room dongle. A tasteful remote control is included for easy operation, and like all products in the series, it features an internal power supply.

It is best used in conjunction with the Tangent PowerAmp II power stage.
