Product details

Tamron has introduced two teleconverter models exclusively for selected Tamron lenses. These accessories make it easier to expand the versatility of the attached lens. The 1.4x teleconverter increases the focal length by a factor of 1.4x, while the 2.0x teleconverter doubles the focal length.

The maximum focal length is increased. Although the maximum focal length rises, the minimum object distance remains nearly the same, improving the magnification ratio at close focus. Both teleconverters are carefully designed and constructed to preserve the lens's original superior image quality. The 2.0x model uses an LD (Low Dispersion) lens element to suppress aberrations. BBAR (Broad-Band Anti-Reflection) coatings are applied to both models to minimize ghosting and lens flare.
