Product details

In 1992, Tamron introduced the first 28-200 (Model 71D), the first generation of the Megazoom type. Continuing this tradition of Megazooms is the current model of the 28-200mm (Model A031). This lens features innovative XR glass elements (Extra Refractive Index) and aspherical lenses, resulting in a remarkably lightweight, compact product. Compared to its predecessor, the lens's flare performance has been improved through an innovative multi-coating. As a result, it delivers excellent imaging quality on both digital APS-C and full-frame DSLR cameras. This lens is an invaluable companion for travel, as its focal length range covers most photographic situations, including macro photography, requiring only one lens. On full-frame cameras, this universal zoom sets a new standard, significantly expanding the focal length range of conventional standard lenses.

Di: The designation Di stands for the generation of lenses specifically adapted to the higher demands of digital DSLR cameras (APS-C and full-frame).

Please note: The autofocus on this lens does not work with the Nikon D40, D40X, and D60, as Nikon has made a system change with these cameras.
