Tamiya McDonnell Douglas F-4B Phantom II 1:48 Kit

The series production of the Phantom II began in 1961 with the F4-B. The two-seat supersonic fighter was used by the Air Force, Navy, and Marine Corps during the Vietnam War, among others. Powered by twin jet engines, the Phantom II could also carry munitions and was therefore used as a fighter-bomber. In 1996, the Phantom II was retired after a well-deserved service.

The wing structure of the original aircraft has been meticulously replicated in the model. The outer wings are positioned for use on aircraft carriers, and the right and left horizontal stabilizers move together. The cockpit canopy can be opened, and the refueling probe and boarding ladder are functional. The package includes a detailed assembly manual, a painting guide, various decals, and background information on the history of the Phantom II.
