The NVMe solid-state drive series is specifically developed for Synology systems, providing an optimized storage experience while minimizing service interruptions. This SSD transfers data using PCI Express, significantly outperforming traditional SATA SSDs in terms of transfer rates. M.2 SSDs are installed via the M.2 socket on the motherboard. Due to their compact dimensions, they are particularly suitable for use in ultrabooks and mini-PCs, but can also be used in standard computers.
