Studioking Optical Snoot SK-OS1

The SK-OS1 from StudioKing is an optical snoot that projects the light from a flash or LED lamp onto the background of your photos and videos. You can choose from five different colors and ten different shapes, allowing you to create creative photos with light that contribute uniquely to the atmosphere of your shots. From a distance of about 1.2 meters, the SK-OS1 produces a sharp reflection. At a distance of 2.5 meters (from the lamp to the surface), the SK-OS1 creates a projection of approximately 2.2 meters.

The SK-OS1 comes standard with a Bowens/Linkstar adapter ring, which allows you to attach the optical snoot to your lamp. You then select a gobo shape and a color filter and insert them into the holders at the front of the SK-OS1. To achieve a sharp result on the wall, adjust the knob on the top of the SK-OS1. This shifts the internal lens, which is responsible for the projection. The metal construction ensures that the SK-OS1 can be reliably used in any location. To clearly see the color and shape in daylight, we recommend using a flash lamp with at least 600 Ws. The light is emitted at an angle of approximately 20 degrees.

By default, you can connect the SK-OS1 to a lamp with a Bowens/Linkstar connection. However, the adapter ring is interchangeable, allowing you to use the SK-OS1 with flash units from other manufacturers as well. There are separate adapter rings available, which you can find in the optional accessories.
