The Streacom TX13 has been designed to eliminate the guesswork involved in applying thermal paste and to help reduce the environmental impact of packaging, particularly from applicator tubes. To minimize plastic packaging waste, the TX13 comes in a recycled cardboard envelope that contains coated foil pouches, and it does not include a plastic applicator, which you typically don't need for most application methods. Each pouch contains the recommended, tested, and pea-sized amount of thermal paste (0.25 g), which provides complete coverage for a standard desktop CPU IHS (~40 x 40 mm). Whether you believe in the "big blob in the middle," "X marks the spot," or "spread it thin" methods, you can be assured that the amount used is just right for perfect CPU coverage. Individual pouches also mean you know exactly how many applications you have left, and the thermal paste remains as fresh and consistent as it was on the day it was packaged.
