Enhanced performance with UASP.

UASP is supported in Windows 8, Mac OS X (10.8 or higher), and Linux. In tests, UASP shows 70% higher read speeds and 40% higher write speeds compared to traditional USB 3.0 at peak performance. At the same peak performance, UASP also demonstrates an 80% reduction in processor resource requirements.

Test results were obtained using an Intel Ivy Bridge system, a UASP-capable enclosure, and a SATA III Solid State Drive.
