The StarTech USB 3.0 docking station with UASP makes it easy to connect and exchange 2.5-inch or 3.5-inch SATA III hard drives and solid-state drives via an existing USB port. It supports SATA hard drives (HDD) with 2.5-inch and 3.5-inch form factors, as well as solid-state drives (SSD) with UASP support (Attached SCSI Protocol Specification Version 1.0). The docking station is compatible with USB 3.0/2.0/1.1 (5 Gbit/s/480 Mbit/s/1.5 Mbit/s) and SATA drives of versions I/II/III (1.5/3.0/6.0 Gbit/s). It offers plug-and-play and hot-swap compatibility. This HDD/SSD docking station particularly supports large SATA I/II/III drives (tested up to 4 TB) and is compatible with nearly all SATA drives. The SDOCKU33EF docking station also features a built-in fan that ensures the drives operate at the optimal temperature for peak performance and extended lifespan.
