Conversion of an M.2 NVMe drive to a 2.5-inch form factor with a U.3 (SFF-TA-1001) interface. Convert and connect a PCIe M.2 NVMe/AHCI SSD to a 2.5-inch form factor for installation in a U.3 drive bay or backplane. Maintain performance while adapting. Change the form factor of a 2242, 2260, or 2280 M.2 NVMe drive while preserving PCIe Gen 4 read and write speeds. This adapter is designed without a chipset to maintain performance when adapting an M.2 drive to a 2.5-inch form factor.

Easy setup. The M.2 to U.3 host adapter is compatible with all operating systems, including Windows, macOS, and Linux. No additional drivers or software are required for installation and operation. The adapter includes mounting materials for the M.2 drive and U.3 adapter.

Compatibility. The M.2 to U.3 host adapter is backward compatible with earlier versions of M.2 PCIe NVMe drives. It is not compatible with SATA or SAS host controllers, M.2 SATA SSDs, or U.2 host interfaces.
