This multimode 50/125µm fibre patch cable is backwards compatible with OM3 and 1/10/40Gbps networks, ensuring a reliable connection in legacy fibre environments. The OM4 fibre optic cable features a flame-retardant LSZH (Low-Smoke, Zero-Halogen) jacket, producing very little smoke and toxic fumes in extreme heat or in the event of a fire. This enables safer cable installations in areas with poor ventilation, including some industrial environments, enclosed environments such as trains and aeroplanes, and residential areas where compliance with building regulations must be considered.
