Utilize a free expansion slot to install a hot-swappable 2.5" drive.
The S25SLOTR drive bay can be inserted into any available (Full Profile) PCI expansion slot, providing easy access to a bare 2.5-inch SATA hard drive or a solid-state drive (SSD) through the back panel of the computer case.
Unlike traditional hard drive enclosures, the S25SLOTR does not require the installation of a drive in a tray, saving you time and hassle when accessing drive contents.
To optimize performance and take full advantage of SATA III drives' speed potential, this HDD backplane supports SATA III with transfer speeds of up to 6 Gbit/s when used with a compatible controller.
Once plugged into the PCI slot (and the corresponding bracket at the back), installing a 2.5-inch SATA hard drive is as simple as inserting it into a trayless frame. To remove the drive, simply press the eject button to unlock the access flap. The drive can then be pulled out of the computer without needing to disconnect it.
The unique design of the hot-swap frame allows for the use of any available Full Profile expansion slot for inserting a 2.5-inch SATA hot-swappable drive.
