The S25SLOTR drive bay can be inserted into any available (Full Profile) PCI expansion slot, providing easy access to a bare 2.5-inch SATA hard drive or a solid-state drive (SSD) through the back panel of the computer case.

Unlike traditional hard drive enclosures, the S25SLOTR does not require the installation of a hard drive in a drive bay, saving you time and hassle when accessing hard drive contents.

To optimize performance and take full advantage of the speed potential of SATA III drives, this HDD backplane supports SATA III with transfer speeds of up to 6 Gbit/s when used with a compatible controller.

Once inserted into the PCI slot (and the corresponding bracket at the back), installing a 2.5-inch SATA hard drive is as simple as sliding it into a trayless frame. To remove the hard drive, simply press the eject button to unlock the access panel. The drive can then be pulled out of the computer without needing to disconnect it.
