The StarTech PCI Express USB 3.0 card with 4 ports allows you to add 4 USB 3.0 ports to your computer via a PCIe slot. It features 2 external ports as well as 2 internal USB 3.0 pin headers for customizing your desktop PC or server to support various USB 3.0 devices. The card offers flexibility for connecting internal and external USB 3.0 devices and supports UASP. Setup is quick and hassle-free, as it is natively supported by Windows 8. It fits into standard or low-profile systems and is backward compatible with USB 2.0 and 1.x devices. Transfer large files with throughput support of up to 5 Gbps. An optional SATA connector provides up to 900 mA per port for high-performance USB devices. The PCIe x1 interface is compatible with PCI Express 2.0 specifications. The card comes with a full-profile bracket, and a low-profile bracket is included. The PCI Express USB 3.0 card is easy to install and requires no additional drivers or software in natively supported Windows 8.1/8 operating systems. With its dual low-profile design, it fits into standard or low-profile cases.
