When the world was shrouded in darkness, the Goddess of Mana destroyed the eight Benevodons, monsters that brought only destruction, with the Mana Sword. She imprisoned these horrors in the eight Mana Stones and saved the world. Weakened, the goddess turned into a tree and fell into a deep sleep. The forces of evil sought to free the Benevodons in order to gain control. With a terrible war, they pushed their plan to destabilize the realms. Peace was history. Mana slowly disappeared from the world and the Mana Tree began to wither.
