Product details

The PXW-Z100 with Exmor R CMOS sensors is suitable for 4K recordings (4,096 x 2,160) at 60 or 50 frames per second and weighs under 3 kg, even when a 4K-compatible high-performance G lens is mounted. The recording format is XAVC, first used in the digital cinema camera PMW-F55. Like the PMW-F55, 4K recordings at 60 frames per second and 4:2:2 10-bit are possible at high bit rates of 500 MB/s or 600 MB/s. Resolutions in QFHD (3,840 x 2,160) and HD (1,920 x 1,080), which have high compatibility with 4K TVs, can also be selected.

To enable longer recording times, XAVC LongGOP (QFHD 4:2:0 8-bit / Full HD 4:2:2 10-bit) and AVCHD are supported through firmware upgrades. Since the PXW-Z100 can be used in the same way as conventional handheld professional cameras, 4K content can be captured with a minimal number of personnel. Additionally, 4K source material offers significant additional creative possibilities when editing an HD project.
