Product details
The PXW-Z100 with Exmor R CMOS sensors is suitable for 4K (4,096 x 2,160) shooting at 60 or 50 fps and weighs less than 3 kg even when a 4K-compatible high-performance G lens is mounted. The recording format is XAVC, first used in the PMW-F55 digital cinema camera. As with the PMW-F55, 4K shooting is possible at 60 fps and 4:2:2 10-bit at high bit rates of 500 MB/s or 600 MB/s. Resolutions in QFHD (3,840 x 2,160) and HD (1,920 x 1,080), which have high compatibility with 4K televisions, can also be selected.
To enable longer recording times, XAVC LongGOP (QFHD 4:2:0 8-bit / Full HD 4:2:2 10-bit) and AVCHD are supported through firmware upgrades. Because the PXW-Z100 can be used in the same way as traditional handheld professional cameras, 4K content can be captured with a minimum number of operators. In addition, 4K source material offers significant additional creative opportunities when editing an HD project.
