Sony hat seiner eigenen VR-Brille 2018 ein Update verpasst und das Design verbessert, HDR-Übertragung implementiert und das Kabelmanagement optimiert. Technisch wirkt die PSVR mit 1.920 Pixeln und einem schlichten Kameratracking für DualShock oder Move-Controller (oder dem Schießprügel namens Aim Controller, der Shooter-Fans dringend ans Herz gelegt sei) zwar etwas antiquitiert, der Fliegengittereffekt ist aber dennoch weniger stark ausgeprägt, als bei vielen älteren PC-VR-Brillen wie Vive oder Rift CV1.
Wer einmal mit der VR seine ersten Erfahrungen gemacht hat, möchte Spiele fortan nur noch in einem realen Umfeld erleben. Nicht nur an Autorennen oder Weltraumschlachten nehmen Sie teil, als wären Sie echt anwesend, auch Abenteuer und Gruseleffekte wirken nahezu realistisch. Derzeit sind allerdings noch keine Herzinfarkte bekannt, die auf VR-Horrorspiele zurückzuführen sind...
